To echo the sentiment of another review I read I think I may not be well read enough to properly enjoy this book as I believe a lot of the literary references enhanced the story in ways I don't understand. There were very pretty lines and passages in this story but overall I was not able to connect with this the way I hoped. I would really like to return to it later and see if I have a different perspective.
