I just didn't care for Deepa's shallowness and materialism - I get it, but I didn't care for it. I did like the later-in-life exploration of her sexuality though.

I devoured this book. By now I am a regular of the Flos Magicae series, and returning to it is like wrapping up in a warm blanket and sinking in the good feelings. I love how naturally Deepa and Roz come together, how much it feels like the complications they have to work through are the natural, inexorable results of who they respectively are, and how important friends are in this universe. There are some truly beautiful descriptive and emotional moments throughout this story. Also, Roz is just the best? She really is <3
