This book has a huge collection of short stories that are good to read when you don’t have much time. I’m disappointed that Hastings was slowly removed from the series I enjoyed his character and Poirot interacting. Not sure if there was reason for that because some stories were left out. I enjoy Japp as well, he was a great character. I’ll be honest I don’t really care for Ms. Lemon or Poirot’s butler, as they seemed thrown in at the end of the book. This book is a great read for mystery lovers.

Some stories of note and my favourites (*) :

-The Jewel Robbery at the Grand Metropolitan
-The Chocolate Box
-The Adventure of the Egyptian Tomb *
-The Market Basing Mystery
-The Incredible Theft
-The Cornish Mystery *
-The Double Clue
-The Theft of the Royal Ruby
-Wasps Nest *
-The Third Floor Flat *
-Yellow Iris
-The Dream
-The Nemean Lion *
-The Arcadian Deer *
-The Stymphalean Birds
-The Cretan Bull *
-The Flock of Geryon *
-The Capture of Cerberus

The “12 Labours of Hercules” collection are really great stories to wrap up Poirot’s career and are all worth a read. I may have to research the rest of Poirot’s mysteries to complete his entire collection.
