Beastly told through Lindy's point of view.
Lindy has a crush on the popular Kyle Kingsbury, but he is snobbish and already has a girlfriend. One day, Kyle disappears from school. Some say he went to rehab, others say he moved away. Lindy decides to forget Kyle, but will always associate him with the smell of roses after he gave her a rose at a school dance.
Lindy's father is an addict who has gotten himself into trouble. He struck a deal to send Lindy to live with a deformed teenager named Adrian. Lindy is mad that her father sent her away, but she is starting to feel as if she belongs with Adrian. She just might be falling in love with him too despite his appearance.
One of the things I wanted so much when I was reading Beastly was to see things from Lindy's perspective. The entire book is told through Kyle/Adrian's perspective, so we don't really get to see Lindy slowly falling in love. Also, I wanted more cute romance moments between Lindy and Adrian. Not to advance the plot or anything, but just to see the two of them interact and share cute moments together.
Lindy's diary does just that. It fleshes out Lindy as a character. We get to know her background a bit more and her relationship with her father. And we get to see her having fun with Adrian. Those journal entries from Christmastime are absolutely adorable.
So, if you loved Beastly, you'll love this novella.

Um yes, I did check out the deluxe edition of Beastly from my library to read this. I'm great, how are you?

So I read this in like 2 hours, and it was cute. I like what it added to the story. And I mean, that's it. I've already expressed all of my thoughts and opinions on the actual book, but yes, I did like Lindy's voice. It was sweet. Yep.

I really enjoyed reading this story through Lindy's diaries because we get to experiment it through another pair of eyes.

It's like the whole story is complete now that we get to see how both of them felt during that time.

Lindy was such a likeable character, I just enjoyed reading this book. I read Beastly about year ago and after this I'm going to re-read it. I just order my copy on AwesomeBooks (if anyone wants, there is a lot great and cheap used books)

Lagipula garis besarnya tidak berbeda dengan kisah klasik Beauty and The Beast.

This was okay. It starts a bit sooner than Beastly as we get a much better feel from Lindy's POV. Although I wish she hadn't been a silent Adrian fan from the beginning I do like how she gives him a chance. It makes more sense her worry about her father even though he doesn't deserve it. I hope she really has washed her hands of him for good at this point! If you thought her father was bad before, you have NO idea! This leads all the way to the end of Beastly.
