I loved their story but I hated the
third act break-up.
It was so unnecessary.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was filled with romance, the cutest scenes, & all the dirty talk + spicr! Who told you to have so many sexy scenes?!

I loved watching Maya and Theo become better people throughout the story! They were literally each other's support system. Like the kids hockey camp?? Adorable. The jewelry stand?? Even cuter.

From the beginning, you get to see how obsessed Theo is with Maya and you are able to see how Maya develops and acknowledges her feelings as the story goes on. It’s the internal thoughts of anyone that’s developing a crush. We were also able to see Maya work through issues that she had and that also helped her create a relationship with Theo!

Sarah made it so easy to be engrossed in the story and not want to put it down. I can’t say much without feeling like I’m spoiling something, so just read it! I finished it in 4 days and it probably only took that long bc I had to tell myself to put it down and go to bed!

I am grateful that I was able to be provided an advanced readers copy in exchange for my opinion because now I have another author’s work to look forward to!

Finished it but it was a hate read. At 42% she’s on a date with another guy because of stupidity and just ugh. She has to excuse herself to go rub one out in the bathroom because apparently she’s a giant walking clit. I hate when a FMC can’t use her brain because she’s just overcome with horniness.

ARC READER

3.8 rounded to 4!

(I want to preface that I did not read book 1 in the series, Dessert Flirt & Repeat, but I will now because the characters from book 1 show up in here and now I NEED their story. I think I might have enjoyed this one more with more background on them.)

Back to book 2: Snow, Ice And Spice.
Maya is an emotional guarded spirit (thanks, parents); Theo is a playboy in image rehabilitation. And now, they live together. What had to happen happened. Banter, teasing and forced proximity is a proven recipe, after all. Add in some personal growth, unexpected feelings and you've got yourself a sizzling and heartwarming story.

I hate to admit though, sometimes, Maya & Theo were numb to just Do. I found that all that was needed to avoid a lot was just a smidge of communication, but both can't seem to go that far with each other. Bu again, that is part of their personal growth, so I can't really be mad at it. It's just took me a bit more time to sink in with the full picture once the book ends.

Overall thoughts - it was a cute hockey romance, with some spice and a little dirty talk, great banter and crazy chemistry.

*I was chosen to be an ARC for this book, and my thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was, simply put, amazing. I fell In love with Theo and Maya from the moment I first met them. The tension between them was so well written and banter was not only filled with laugh out loud moments, but more importantly, with storytelling! Each interaction moved the story forward and kept building tension that drew me in and had me rooting for them. I love books that enable me to see, hear, and watch the characters live as I read, and this book had that with all the characters even the secondary ones! I didn't know this was book two in a series until the end, and I was able to read this without a problem and fall into the Grant Family Dynamics. I will be reading more by this author soon! If you are looking for a wonderfully written story to warm you up on a chilly night, then you have a great choice here!

I was lucky enough to get chosen to receive an Advanced Readers Copy of “Snow, Ice and Spice" by Sarah Smith. This book is a captivating romance novel that takes readers on a rollercoaster ride through the worlds of hockey, personal growth, and unexpected love. Centered around the compelling characters of Theo and Maya, this book brings together a bad-boy hockey player and a determined “babysitter” in a story that is both sizzling and heartwarming.

Theo, our rugged bad boy of the ice, initially appears to be the quintessential stereotype of a hockey player with a tarnished reputation. As he embarks on a journey to rehab his image, readers are introduced to a complex and multifaceted character. Sarah Smith skillfully peels back the layers of Theo's persona, revealing his vulnerabilities and his desire for redemption. His evolution throughout the story is a testament to the author's ability to craft well-rounded characters.

Maya, on the other hand, is at a crossroads in life, still searching for her direction. When her best friend asks her to babysit Theo, she reluctantly agrees, setting the stage for an unexpected connection. Her determination and unwavering commitment to her responsibilities make her an instantly likable character. The dynamic between Maya and Theo, while initially rocky, develops into a simmering friendship with benefits. Smith expertly navigates their emotional journey, showcasing the slow burn of their connection as it transforms into something deeper and more meaningful.

What sets "Snow, Ice and Spice" apart is its seamless blend of romance and self-discovery. As Theo and Maya navigate their budding relationship, they embark on a joint venture—creating a kids' hockey camp. Through this shared endeavor, they discover the joys of mentoring, teamwork, and the fulfillment that comes from giving back to their community. This subplot adds depth to the story, making it more than just a typical romance novel.

Sarah Smith's writing is crisp, engaging, and filled with witty banter that keeps the pages turning. The chemistry between Theo and Maya is palpable, making their journey from friends with benefits to something more all the more satisfying.

In "Snow, Ice and Spice," Sarah Smith delivers a heartwarming tale of redemption, love, and self-discovery that will leave readers with a smile on their faces. This novel is a delightful reminder that life is full of unexpected surprises, and that even the coldest of hearts can thaw when touched by the warmth of love and friendship. Highly recommended for fans of contemporary romance with depth and heart. Don’t forget the spice
