Interesting. A white collar criminal funding a documentary about another white collar crime...

This book increased my hatred of the extremely wealthy. They live in a fantasy world. Also, Jho Low is a giant piece of garbage. Stealing billions just so rich people could like him. Fuck that guy.

I wanted this to be more interesting than it was, but I’m pretty sure that’s just because finance is not that interesting to me. It’s definitely well written and well researched. I just got a little lost in the details.

This whole tale is interesting but i feel like it could be told a little more coherently and with less descriptions of all the parties? were they really necessary? It once again teaches the lesson all fraudsters should learn dont cheap out on paying people off. jokes aside I learned a lot about finance fraud and how other countries operate.

I love a good financial scam, and in that sense this book definitely doesn’t disappoint. This story is VERY complex. There are so many different players and factors involved. I found myself very confused several times throughout the book, trying to better understand what happened. I wish the author had presented this information in a less convoluted way... there is a lot to unpack here.
However, it was fun to hear about all of the insane Hollywood parties and the unimaginable amounts of money just thrown away on one night at a club... midgets dressed as Oompa Loompas and Britney Spears jumping out of a birthday cake are just a few examples of this exorbitance.
