Loved!!! reading this book. It gave me everything I needed, tension, jealousy, love, friendship, action and everything else. The ending had me gagged - you can’t end a book like this and then force me to wait for the third to be released?! 😭 Finished it in 2 days because I just couldn’t put it down.

Like many second books in trilogies, A Promise of Peridot inches the plot along to set up the conclusion to the series. While I did enjoy the developments in Arwen and Kane's relationship I just felt like not a lot happens. Arwen sulks for 3/4 of the book, Kane loves her from afar...even Mari and Griffin make little progress. I liked the book while I was reading it I just wish we got more plot development along the way. All that said, I enjoy the world of The Sacred Stones and I definitely want to see where the third book takes us.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️ i love this series and okay that ending.. what an ending!! 🤯 i need book #3 asap please! Fantastic 2nd book with very little world building so its easy to follow, and i love Kane so much! Also i LOOOVE the dual POV in this book so so much!!

Fav Quotes:
“There’s always something to fear. That’s the price of doing anything worth doing.”
“You asked me once If i thought love was a weakness,” he said, too low. “You, Arwen. You are my weakness.”

#1 How dare you Kate Golden? You make me fall even more in love with Kane and Arwen - then you do this to me at the end?!

Ugh this book was soooo good. Even better than Dawn of Onyx in my opinion. Amazing plot development, character growth, fantasy adventures, heated romance, and a wild ending. Reign of Rose…I am already ready for you.
