Easily digestible. Some essays were more impactful than others. I think it works more as an introduction to deconstructing capitalism

An amazing book of very short essays! I learned so much, and each page was thought-provoking. I had to read it slowly to absorb the whole thing. Would like to own it so I could refer back to it.

maybe the narrator just pissed me off but damn I’m becoming WARY these essayists are not good I don’t think you can call this anything but navel gazing there’s no interesting critique here at all. Maybe groundbreaking 4 years ago? I doubt it

Probably the best version of White Woman points at stuff and says "Huh, really makes you think" I've read (And as white woman who loves pointing, I've read many)
Many stand out essays among mostly meandering thoughts on Emily Dickinson and Virginia Wolfe. Definitely worth reading once, and possibly even twice.
I give it 3 vanilla greek yogurt & granola parfaits out of 5. It's what you're looking for, if you're into that sort of thing.
