The metaphors and descriptions are beautiful. The story gripped me but sometimes felt a bit rushed and time-jumpy, I wondered "How did we get here" several times. Even though he developed empathetic and likeable characters the dialogue just wasn't for me. The book's age and translation may explain why the dialogue felt so unrealistic but I still felt pulled out of the story by it. Overall would definitely recommend for the stunning prose and story.
