A no-brainer!
I started the reading curious, it made my heart ache too, but just for a bit, and the end gave me the silliest, goofiest smile I could muster.
It's incredible how much depth and beauty a person can make fit in 16 pages. This was so lovely, I've only been aware of it now, and having loved Love's Portrait I thought I could trust Anna, and I'm glad I was right! And even though this was, IMHO, perfect the way it is, it's the kind of short that you wish could be extended a bit (a novelette even!); Abbie is a beautiful soul and I'd love to see, slowy, how she wins them all. Especially Jem.
