A very large selection of children’s poems which would be great to use with KS2 children. Some of the poems in this collection are much longer than poems found in most children’s poetry collections which exposes children to a range of different styles. I would use these poems with KS2 because of the language used which is sometimes quite complex and may not be as accessible to KS1 children. Because of the large range of poems included, there would be ones suitable for all children in KS2 as there are a couple of much simpler ones for LA children. Overall a good poetry collection to have in a KS2 classroom, both for teaching purposes and the children’s enjoyment.
