You can tell this was written by a professor because it’s very beautifully written some of the lines in here are amazing but in some parts it was underwhelming I wish there had been more substance to it and that it had been longer and less fleeting of a read and more character development but it was still good something about reading about Ellio’s unbridled obsession with this man and the things he felt was very interesting and I just hope if I read Aciman again it leaves a more lasting impact with me

The story was very interesting and the characters very dynamic but the ending seemed to drag on in a way I could not appreciate but I think it had a beautiful ending. Sometimes the authors writing style was a little hard to follow which made reading this a little less enjoyable

Is it better to speak or to die?
The film is my comfort but I am so glad it didn’t end the way the book did or it would’ve killed me

It’s hard to find a love story filled with so much raw passion as the love story between Oliver and Elio. Does this sort of love really exist? I’m sure it does but I’m sure it’s very rare. What I do know is that I wish to find this sort of love and I’m also sure most would say the same. Very poetic. Very symbolic. Great story. Had the author not been too repetitive for my liking I would have given it 5 Stars, that was my only problem with the book.
