Wow

You think you know what's gonna happen, but you don't. This is a good book that will keep you guessing til the end.

This book really had me questioning what in fact is true or not .I really was flipping back and forth trying to make sure I was understanding everything. Tiffany had me questioning everything haha. Tiffany will make you really pay attention to every detail and you still wont know what happened.

4.5 stars. Gritty. Scary if it is true indication of social welfare/prison/legal system in the United States. Whoa...ending!

Allegedly is my kind of book! It’s about a nine year old girl who killed a baby. Allegedly. I absolutely devoured this book. It was dark, disturbing, creepy and I was on edge the whole time. The book made me feel sad and angry for the characters. I love books that can do that. To be honest, I’m a little confused by the ending, but I also LOVE those kinds of endings!

A story that could be true.  Very impactful read was really hoping for a different ending.  Do recommend.

This was a good mystery read that had interesting, well-fleshed-out characters, and that shed light on a premise that is often ignored or not explored with the nuance it deserves: child incarceration. The story is told from the perspective of Mary, a teenage girl who has been incarcerated since she was 9 years old. In so many ways, she's experienced more than most adults will ever have to, but the way she perceives relationships and love really reminds you that she's still just a child. I didn't love the final chapter, but some readers might. This book is great for anyone who's getting into thrillers/mystery novels (I'd say the characters feel realer than they do in most novels of the same genre) and it's appropriate for teenage readers.
