I gave this book a very high score because it’s exactly what i needed today: very little drama and no unnecessary stupidity. And kind of hot for my tastes. Yes, may be it’s all fine and dandy too easily, but also why can’t i read a book where a lot of people are nice and welcoming.
Would love to know that mmcs used more lube though, i was worried.

The sex scenes were just not good. I didn’t really care about the characters.

Much better than what I was expecting! The relationship progressed in a way that felt natural, both Tristan and Seb were super likeable and cute (and hot, obvs, because this is NA after all), the drama was kept to a minimum and the ending was hopeful and kind of realistic. I enjoyed a lot Tristan's struggle between the need to stay in the closet because of the potential damage to his career and the need to be honest with the people he loves. Now if only the smut had been cut by half (at least) I probably would have given it an extra star, but after the second hook up it became boring and repetitive. Still cute and entertaining, very recommendable.

Sometimes you can be a jock AND have a brain, especially a sexy brain that seduces your professor.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the issues here between Seb and Tristan, they were very realistic. Even better was the chemistry between these two; holy Toledo it was so smoking hot and the sex scenes were so naughty and fun. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

I was really looking forward to this book. [a:Avon Gale|14237686|Avon Gale|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1493225826p2/14237686.jpg] is a master when it comes to hockey writing. The premise behind this book held a lot of appeal for me and had so much potential. In the end, this book did not work for me for a couple of reasons! First, the inexplicable decision to put a considerable amount of the romantic aspects of the story off the page ... first date, meet my parents conversation ... a lot of the milestones that would have marked the progression from insta-lust to love ... we either implied to in after the fact conversations or revisited at a later date. This really affected my enjoyment of this book ... particularly, since I am not a fan of the "50 shades of grey" aspects that otherwise dominated the story line. I don't get it, I don't enjoy reading about it ... I spent most of those scenes either skimming or ignoring what was on the page. It is an uncomfortable thing for me to read ordinarily, but given this particular story line ... even more so ...

There was potential for a whole lot of chemistry between the two MCs. But that really wasn't realized because there wasn't a whole lot of "romance". But I will say that Sebastian really did not read like a university professor or an intellectual (which he would have to be) ... his character seemed inconsistent and not as fleshed out as Trent was ...

However, there were moments of absolute magic when it came to hockey. [a:Avon Gale|14237686|Avon Gale|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1493225826p2/14237686.jpg] prowess when it comes to writing realistic and exciting hockey drama shone through brilliantly despite my misgivings. So close to perfect ... more romance and less [whatever the heck that weird kinky shit was] ... and this would have been a fantastic, fun read ...
