Ingram takes you on the road in this compact journey of self-reflection. The speaker considers the source of his unhappiness as the road sprawls out before him, and in turn, the reader is invited to consider their own lives. Darkly funny, contemplative, and honest in a way that hits like a quiet gut-punch, this book was a quick read that helped me fall in love with reading again.

Mike Ingram’s book is so relatable for anyone who wonders if they are in the right place in their lives. This was a very enjoyable read!

The book does what it sets out to do, which is to capture the mood of a man and his generation. There is no big catharsis.
