The introductions were tenderly made so everyone can understand the importance that this great poet (and rebel) and his poetry had on Arabs' literature. He cared about women's rights, freedom of sexuality/ecstasy, the beauty of the female body, he criticised Arab dictators while being a nationalist and writing tons of poems which depicted the struggles of many people, including those from impoverished environments to raise awareness. He used a simple, direct, down to earth language that was used in every day life so it was accessible to everyone and thus, became such a pillar in love poetry overall.

There were many memorable ones I recommend in "One Hundred Love Letters". It's a very quick read which can certainly inspire you to send one of his poems to your lover.

Great work for ideas for love poems. No women/girl/person doesn't like a love poem "written" for him/ her/them/they. This work gives one a great selection of Love Poems to "Borrow" for your significant other and make them feel special. It also gives you a poetical starting point to write your love a wonderful poem that will stay in their phone for ever, or, if they are old school, to tie up in a ribbon and place in their special dresser drawer. And if your a WASP, straight sis American male she will most likely never read Kabbani so your white lie is pretty safe.
