Not bad. Better if you've read most of the other books and can recognize characters you know about.
The Glokta story neatly fills a gap in the other books, acting as a mini-prequel.
Shev & Javre, as others noted, are female versions of Fafhrd & the Grey Mouser; but they're amusing.
All the thief-warrior-courier stories were worthwhile.
Didn't like the last story, leaving Logen quite different from what I remember from the other books.
Several of the books show him being a bit up-and-down, which is what makes him interesting, but this goes too far IMO.
If Joe wanted to underline after all those books that his world is even nastier than he has shown it erenow, he has succeeded. I wouldn't go there for anything.

A bit of a mixed bag-- some were really entertaining, interesting stories, while others were fairly boring out of context (a weird thing to say about stories with this much violence).

When it comes to the end of the year, I have to read Joe Abercrombie. It's just the way it is and has to be. Sharp Ends was the perfect way to end the year honestly. Each short story was majorly enjoyable. I expected the Lord Grimdark spicy scenes but God damnnnn

And with that I finally finished my big Abercrombie reread. I enjoyed "Sharp Ends" a lot, I sometimes wish I could live in the minds of my favorite authors. I'm a sucker for all the little details and back-stories and side characters, I want to know everything. I'm so excited for "A little hatred" :D

This is a great collection of short stories, the ones with shev being the stand outs. Getting a glimpse of ninefingers during his time with bethod really shows why he was so feared and why people hated him. Overall, this was a nice break between first law books.
