[Quick review from memory before I re-read and review at a later date:

Discworld + Maps = Wonderful things. Don't recall that I fully went through this so that's something for the future.]

A significant and beautiful update to The Streets of Ankh-Morpork, this guide to the fictional Discworld city is more detailed (and much funnier) than many other city guides for real places. I haven't yet had a chance to pore over the map itself, which is huge, double-sided and incredibly detailed, but the guidebook had me laughing out loud many many times.

Pretty great stuff, filled with the cleverness you expect from Pratchett. Probably only recommendable to huge fans of the main series.

I love this sort of book and this is a pretty-much perfect example of this sort of book. It not only includes information from the author and a meticulous examination of the source material but it's also and entertaining read in its own right. Clever and hilarious.

Very much a book you'll only appropriately enjoy once you've read all Discworld novels, but if you have, this is really fun to. have and to read. A stunningly designed map and I enjoyed following along with the walking tours. Will have to reread the city books with the map as reference.

Reread 2022 :

Exactly what I said 3 years ago.

Read 2019 :

You know what bothers me... I've got all this information about this great city, and now all I wanna do is visit it, but I can't. As much as I want to believe it's real, it isn't, and I'll never actually visit Ankh-Morpork. And that makes me sad.

This guide is full of everything you need to know for your next visit to AM. From food, to drink, to where to sleep, what to see.. you have it all and with this book in your possession, you can't say you haven't been warned for what might happen to you.

I'd still go there, if there ever was a possibility to.

Perfect vacation guide, though only one footnote. Watch all those names because there are quite a few references and jokes.

A fun idea for a companion that anyone who loves Discworld will enjoy- but I really wouldn't pay £23 for it! Mostly full of directories for places to eat, businesses etc, as I said they are fun, but not really much more...

A hilarious guide to Ankh-Morpork and its' many wonders and delights. This is not a book for a PTerry newbie, but established fans will adore reading through the ads and articles and poring over the map to find all their favourite spots. Just remember to pay your Guild fees and don't go into the Shades alone!
