dense, esoteric, and confrontational, this book's premise alone, that the male-centric notions of psychanalysis are mimiced in the representation of medication in the biological psychiatric movement, is somewhat absurd. Granted, there may be a correlation, but the evidence feels weak throughout the 200 pages, and as a result Metzl's claims feel more like coincidence than insight. Worthless.
