yeah, you know what, I actually quite liked this book! I’m not the biggest fan of comedic writing, but I found that the whole murder mystery element balanced it out nicely. the characters, I think, were written really wonderfully; Joyce absolutely being one of my favs.

and I really want to see this as a tv series now???? don’t know why, but I think it’d be a great little show…if it’s done right!!

anyways, great book! loved the characters, the plot was pretty good, dragged on a bit at times though..but I think that’s probably part of it. not much else to say really…that kind of sums it up. might read the next ones in the series soon!

This was really a lot of fun. I thought the resolution was convoluted, but I enjoyed the characters so much that didn't bother me too much. Plus, dry British humor wins me over almost every time, so this book pushed a lot of my favorite buttons. I definitely plan to read book two, and if the movie does get made I hope it does the book justice.
