Great storyline. The ending just felt short, in my opinion.

100 ⭐️’s.

Paulo Coelho has once again changed my life with his writing.

Arguably every book changes your life, even just for a moment. This is one of those that has changed me forever.

There were so many moments while reading this that I felt my soul was being explained to me. “She spent her life in pursuit of what she believed in. The only problem was that she believed in something different every day”

The agony and the ecstasy will continue.

I'm not sure what possessed me to go down memory lane and into re-reading this.

A lil background info;
I was introduced to Paulo Coelho during my seventh grade summer as a required reading. The book in question at the time was like a flowing river. And then my best friend and I made it our mission throughout eighth grade to read as many Paulo Coelho books as we could get our hands on. That was back in 2011.

My knowledge regarding witchcraft back then was limited to Harry Potter, and while i did not remember anything about the book after all that time, I remembered that I absolutely loved it back then.

Now, more than ten years later, revisiting this book with actual occult knowledge was enlightening. I wonder how my little reading sprees as a child influenced the path I'm taking now.

I will not review the book itself or the practices mentioned because today I know I am not the target audience, I was once and I absolutely loved it back then, and we shall leave it at that.

I bought this book back in 2013, i think. And well what a long journey it was to finally finish it. If you first read the alchemist by coelho you would know that he has got these deep way of playing with your thoughts through spiritual aspects and the journey of life. I would say Brida has that similar kind of charm to it but presented in a whole different way. I find it hard to digest this book two years back which made me put it somewhere at the back of my bookshelf. I guess maturity has made me come back to it, hahah. And i suppose it is not that bad after all. Some of the quotes would make you realized a lot on love and relationships.

Reading challenge #7: a book you started but never finish

DNF at 57%. I'm not going to share my thoughts about this book out of respect for those who treasure the author, and also because I have absolutely nothing good to say.
