This has been my least favorite of the series so far, though I did still enjoy it. I found the first half to be a bit boring and slow, and had I not been determined to read all of Discworld I may have DNF'd it. However, the second half picked up in a big way, and the charm and fun I've come to expect from Pratchett's work reappeared. I look forward to seeing Granny again in later books.
Moderate: Misogyny
Minor: Death, Sexual content, and Violence
These books are meant to be funny, so I wouldn't say there's anything overtly upsetting in them. However, there are certainly adult themes and plenty of inuendo.josiee's review against another edition

This is definitely the weakest Discworld book I've read so far. It certainly isn't bad. It just feels like it's teetering on the edge of being brilliant.
I'm probably going to be taken out the back and shot for this, but I really don't like Granny Weatherwax.
I much preferred Esk and I was hoping the book would Be more focused on her. From what I can tell the rest of the witches collection isnt based in her at all and it's all about Granny.
I did like the overall message. I liked how sexism is addressed very directly. If I was a young girl (I say at a 20-something-year-old man) I feel it would have influenced me in a great way.
