Teochew porridge & Drunken porridge absolutely sucked and vaguely read like they were excusing child abuse. Perfecting pratas is an absolute gem. The chair is mid, the durian man and his daughters is forgettable & MRT is too short to make much of an emotional impact. Shrimps in Space was decent, I guess.
These plays were all connected by having something to do with the theme of family and/or food. The mood tag challenging is there because some of them simply drag way too much (Teochew Porridge) (though the difficult family relationships also did make it a challenging read). Would have given up on reading partway through if I wasn't forced to read it for literature class.
