Skimmed. I learned how to make gelatin “caviar”, agar “noodles”, and a tin-can camp stove. Not to mention a simpler solar-cooker than my middle-school science fair project.

A great, novel cookbook with some simply, but interesting recipes and experiments. For anyone interested in some of the science of cooking, or how to incorporation more tangible science lessons into cooking (or baking), this is a good place to start. It is kid-friendly, too!

Cute easy recipes, some interesting ideas. I found the last section most interesting—someday I will make myself a solar oven.~ this was part of a Humble Bundle and one of the more doable Make reads for someone who has no electronic skills.
