i couldn’t put it down!

Jacque Aye seriously wrote an excellent piece. Hope is so many young adults/adults that are just trying to figure out life.

Relatable AF!

I wasn't really sure what this book was going to be about, but I'm always up for a fantasy, magical realism, FMC type of read! The way I was sucked into this was amazing! Hope is the same age as I am and I understand completely her people pleasing manner and meekness while trying to navigate the corporate world. There were so many moments that stood out to me as being one big "SAME", from dealing with parents to shitty ass coworkers to just riding the bus home and zoning the hell out until it's time to get off. My one qualm is that I felt the end was rushed with Hope essentially winning and leaving. I get why she did and she needed to but I thought there'd be some type of last hurrah with Mona or something instead of just saying bye. ANYWAYS, I highly recommend this book and can't wait to see what's in store for Mona as well!

it’s a fun book mostly. a quick read. felt a little anticlimactic and vague with the ending for me. would’ve liked to see a little more character growth rather than just
having magic money and some kid’s random aunt solve all her problems

a cute and silly little story about sticking up for yourself and finding your way through adulthood that, ultimately, just didn’t land for me. while i liked the underlying themes and the humor sometimes worked for me, the whole thing was just a little too lighthearted for my cynical self.

Good story, feels a little rushed.

I loved Hope and her growth and how it was shown in such lengths even with such a shirt novel. I don't like how it seemed the people brought in along the way were barely there.

A people pleaser learn how to take control of her life. The book itself is a little corny but not a bad thing, just don't expect full realism
