This book was so fun until I got to the end. The author missed an opportunity to finish the book strong. I felt like the book just stopped. There was no resolution or lesson learned.

Hilarious tale of a narcissistic king and how his poor subjects rebelled. Really fun illustrations.
My little monkeys really enjoyed this one. The illustrations are 4 stars. I gave the story 3 because I expected it to be funnier. But 5 and 3 years olds think even the word "mustache" is funny, so they giggled quite a bit.

Hilarious! I thought the story was gearing up a profound lesson at the end, but it’s not. It’s just hilarious. If you reach for a meaning… perhaps it’s don’t take yourself/vanity so seriously. The artwork is beautiful! Please read all of the background and look around. I want a physical copy to keep.
