I won this book at a book fair and met the author. I had never heard of Mahlon Blaine, and didn't know I cared. He is a fascinating and difficult character who was an important part of so many lives I do recognize. Those were some wild times and Blaine was right there. I really enjoyed the book and recommend it, especially to lovers of the art, the jazz age and biographies.
