This was recommended to me by a friend, book one in a series all available free on Kindle Unlimited so I gave it a try. I really enjoyed it. Loved the setting, coffee shop in the middle of nowhere, fishing hot spot. The story is told through the two main characters Bethany who owns the Coffee shop and recently lost her father and Maverick the tall, handsome stranger who saves her. Very romantic.

Bethany is still grieving over the loss of her father and is trying to make ends meet at what was his coffee shop. With debts piling up and her two half sisters who turn up on her doorstep how will she cope? Cue Maverick he’s going to flip the place from disaster to perfection while helping her clear her debts, re do the place and take care of her sisters all with a little romance ofcourse. I absolutely loved it. A quick, easy and light read. A great start to the series. Uplifting. A well deserved four stars from me. A happy ending for all. I cannot wait to see what lies ahead for Beth, Mav and the girls. Highly recommend.

Cute read, could use some polishing but overall enjoyable! There were some heavier themes and small bits of language.

This is a cute, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes deep story about more than the romance. In over her head with both her hand me down coffee shop and her debt, Bethany is on the verge of losing everything, until Maverick steps in just in the nick of time. Both have things from their past that they are either running from, or trying to hold onto for dear life. Both have a little bit of vulnerability, though Maverick hides his better. While there are some heavier undertones in the story, and some sensitive subject matters at play, there is a lightness about the book. The characters are well written and well developed. There are some sorta secret thoughts/feelings that are revealed near the end. It is a clean read with only kissing involved and no strong language making it safe for teens and up, though there is talk of abuse and one scene with a small amount of violence.
