This went from cute to abusive really fast.

He's 33. She's 22, but she "looks 16" according to him, and it's gross how much he loves that about her. He loves how innocent and "trainable" she is, it's predatory. They have a whirlwind marriage that she concedes to purely because she feels like she has no other options, and he immediately begins to exert control over her. He doesn't value her consent at all. He even says "there's nothing you can do to stop me" when talking about things she's uncomfortable with.

I get this is a fantasy, but it's not one I would ever want to live through. 2 stars instead of 1 because the beginning was fun, and I did enjoy some of the spice.

  • Spice Lvl - 3.5/5 - He drinks some expensive ass Irish caramel whiskey on her cooch, so a yeast infection is probably in the works after that little stint.
  • FMC - Holly Wix
    • 4/5 - Sassy, opinionated, career oriented, and talented
  • MMC - Creighton Karas
    • 4/5 - He's actually not a dickhead! He also believes in aftercare. WE STAN WE STAN!
    • Red Flag Rating - 1 - He got an inflated ego ::shrug::
  • Stupid Scale
    • Not Stupid - Entertaining
  • Tropes - billionaire, one night stand, insta-lust, age gap (11 years)

This was my first Meghan March book and I really enjoyed it! Well written and not cringey, and I feel she fleshed her characters out pretty well. Dirty Billionaire is book 1 of her Billionaire series so I would imagine you would get more character growth in the next 2 books.

The Good
  • Well written and unexpectedly wholesome?
  • Creighton Karas
    • I'm so used to douchey dickhead MMCs so I was shocked how much I liked Creighton Karas. He's supposed to be a dickhead billionaire, but his interactions with Holly are actually super sweet from the most part. He respects Holly's boundaries when she's firm with them and he ACTUALLY APOLOGIZES to her when he fucks up, like calling her a whore. I was SHOOK, ya'll. SHOOKETH!
    • Creighton also believes in aftercare. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!
  • Holly Wix
    • I love Holly as the FMC. She's sassy, has personality, and doesn't take shit from Creighton. She's heavily opinionated, talented, and is career driven, which is a refreshing change from the "I just want dick" FMCs I've been hate reading. Holly does have a tendency to constantly remind you she's a lol ol' country gurl from Kentucky. Yes, Holly, I know.

The Bad - This is me being nit-picky because I really liked Dirty Billionaire
  • The age gap - There's a creepy 11 year age gap between Holly and Creighton. Holly is 22 and Creighton in 33. To be fair, Creighton wasn't actively going for someone young to wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am. But he didn't exactly ask questions til AFTER he did the side way tango with Holly. I'm going to suspend my brain cells for this one and let this slide, but this kind of age gap never really works realistically.
  • Cliffhanger ending - Kinda in a cliffhanger. There are 2 more books in this series but I'll have to put off reading it until I can get another free subscription of KU again.

Overall, Dirty Billionaire is an enjoyable, quick read. I want to read more of Meghan March's stuff now because I enjoyed this first book so much.

I had forgotten the blurb of the book when I picked it up. Even the blurb would not have prepared me for a billionaire CEO x new country singer pairing!
This book had both funny and spicy moments making it a great quick read. I'll be interested to see how the rest of the series goes.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️
Tropes: Marriage of convenience, small town, musician, billionaire.
POV: Dual - Holly & Creighton

I’m not entirely sure on this one if I’m being honest. It was a quick read don’t get me wrong but I wasn’t totally invested, however the end really makes me want to pick up the next book just to see what happens as it ends with a bit of a cliff hanger.

Dirty Billionaire follows Holly, an aspiring, up and coming country music singer who finds herself in a situation she doesn’t want a bar of. Creighton is a billionaire and is used to having whatever he wants when he wants it. Holly and Creighton meet at a bar and after spending a hot, steamy night together Creighton decides he wants Holly.

The only way Holly can see out of the current predicament she finds herself in with her record label is to accept Creighton’s proposal, a marriage of convenience. No feelings, no attachments, just great sex and keeping up appearances. It’s a win-win!

Soon after their elopement their “marriage” starts to feel a little more than just convenient.

⚠️ Content Warnings: Nothing of significance.

I really didn't expect much from this story but lord it it bad. First, the FMC is just so weakwilled and the  MMC is just crude, weird, and overly sexual.
