It was interesting and put forward many interesting points but I found that it talked much more about being an American housewife rather than feminism in general. The frequency of ancedotes and quotes gives the writing a disjointed feeling and made it more difficult for me to get into it. It could easily be more concise and less wordy

A book with many good points and observations that suffers when read from a modern perspective. There are still many relevent lessons we can take from Betty Friedan but be prepared to face homophobia, ableism and some language that while accurate at the time is unacceptable today.
