I'm still in love with Atticus and even more with Oberon.
The story in "Tricked" was not full of action and fighting parts as the other stories, but you get to know a lot more about beeing a druid, about Atticus past and himself.
Not really worth five stars as i could easily take a break but well earned four stars :)
If u already enjoyed the other books, you'll love this one!

Continued fun
Simple but well-written, there adventures of Atticus and Oberon continue to bring me joy! Funny but heartwarming, I can't stop reading these!

I enjoy this series a lot. But I think I'm feeling kinda burned out with the inside jokes between Atticus and Oberon and between Atticus and Granuaile. Actually, it got a bit tedious after awhile. As did the history and science lessons....boring. With this book, I started wondering what's up with Granuaile's character. She didn't add anything to the story, or for that matter, the series - so far. She's like a nick-nack you put on a shelf. Its pretty, but serves no real purpose or function. She feels like a waste of paper. Aside from scratching my head over Granuaiel, I did find the Skinwalker storyline interesting, but my attention and interest were peaked more by the vampire intrigue subplot and Leif's betrayal. The whole thing with the Skinwalkers felt more like a peripheral story. I wanted and was more interested in wanting to see the characters develop. I'm taking a breather from this series. I hope the next book focuses more on the characters and their development and not so much on the action. It was exhausting.

This one certainly felt a step above the preceding books. There is a fine balance of humour and plot, leaning towards the side of humour sometimes. However, most of the cultural references from the book are American which can be hard for non-American readers to relate to.
