My name is Hero, and this is my affair partner, and this is his wife, who is also my affair partner, and this is his mother, who is also my affair partner.

- to be queer or to be happy
- i expected more from the summarizing sentence of someone falling in love with their lover’s wife then mother. this isn’t to say i was completely disappointed; i expected the book to go in a different direction
- for one, mavor can write. her descriptions of setting and feeling is deliciously romantic (i cannot get the “poems have been written about moments like this, so explanation isn’t necessary” line out of my head — oh to experience love so deeply it feels reminiscent of your favorite literature)
- i appreciate the effort i had to put in to truly pay attention
- unfortunately wasn’t my most intriguing reading experience but i do not regret picking it up

A poetic exploration into a woman’s exploration of herself, her sexuality, her view of life and what happens in life when you bring yourself into the present moment.
