3.5 out of 5 stars. As always, I immensely enjoyed Graham's writing and his weaving of historical events into this saga. I was disappointed that Clowence decided to marry Stephen even though he is still the jerk he has always been. I'm not sure how I feel about Demelza covering up Jeremy's involvement in criminal activity, though I am glad Jeremy had a happy outcome with Cuby.

Another worthy entry in the Poldark saga, this time following closely the lives of the two eldest Poldark children but also providing meaningful glimpses into the lives of Ross, Demelza, Verity, and George as they age and move into different phases of their lives.

I couldn’t put this one down. I’m still such a sucker for these sprawling period pieces. Can’t wait for the last two!

There is a BIG upset in this book. I screamed in shock and glee. It was glorious. Shocking things happen. I liked how Valentine stayed true to character. Winston Graham is playing the long game. This is the very definition of Saga and I never want it to end.

Sigh. Only two books left. I don’t want to leave Cornwall. Or more especially, Nampara.
