I've enjoyed this series for a while. I'm glad I got this book and looking forward to the next.

I enjoy Jackson's views on things. They usually go on a spiral about something from his past, which is usually something human in our world that the kids may not know about. lol. His view...is honest and usually what most people are afraid to say. It's truthful, but not always harmful but can be hard.

This book talks about how Jackson doesn't pay attention to the things and people he leaves behind. But, is that really true? You'll see in this book. :)

We also see how much Jackson has grown as a person over the previous books. He didn't start wanting a family, but here we are. And he's enjoying it.

Jackson knew it was come, and we've been warned. Sophia will have her revenge on Jackson, and things are coming into play here. All the seeds Sophia has planted over the years are growing up and moving on their own.

Sophia... I always enjoyed her interaction with Jackson in the past. They have a great understanding. The usual Jackson clips are done by Sophia in this book. I will admit, I wasn't as impressed with them by Sophia. They missed a little pizzazz that Jackson has and just felt like ramblings.

There's great references to the past books when they talk about the thinks Jackson has "forgotten" about. It's a great way to get reminders! Love this.

There are moments in the book that I felt we were missing or forgetting about things, but that's explained in the end. I enjoyed the way this one ended. I enjoyed the interaction between Sophia and Jackson at the end and what Jackson has set up. It's neat.

M.K. Gibson has a great theme behind his characters and books. And makes some great points in Jackson's rants and ramblings. I highly recommend listening to them as there's more to them than you think.

Another fun adventure with Jackson. Sorry to see Jackson be the underdog in this one, but when you're on top, sometimes it happens when the stack is set against you.

Also, I loooooove the skit with the Audio book narrator. lol. Great job Jeffrey. Great play. :D

I was very excited to see what Jackson Blackwell, The Shadow Master, consultant to villains, was up to in this story. I always love these audiobooks. These stories are not just fun, but they are hilarious. I love how the author really tailors these stories for the audiobook reader. The main character, Jackson, even starts an argument with the narrator, Jeffery Kafer. There is more, but I don’t want to give spoilers.

In Villains Defeat, the story starts with us at the end of the story, foreshadowing Jackson as defeated as he can be. Then we go back to see how it all happens. We also get Sophia, a Djinn and Jackson’s receptionist, talks directly to the listeners (it is usually only Jackson who talks directly to the audiobook listeners). She loves to do the villain monologue, but she’s telling the listener instead of the victim.

There’s a lot that happens in this story, but I’m not going to get into all of that. I like to avoid spoilers (I personally like to go into stories as blind as possible). What I will tell you is that Gibson (Gibby to his friends), writes really funny stories with amazing characters. I love how the stories are written with lots of pop culture references, tons of humor and how the characters will talk directly to the author, narrator and listeners. It all comes together to make for a very fun story. I always have a great time with this series.

Narration:
Jeffery Kafer really knocks it out of the park with this series. I love how he really brings out the characters, not to mention how he becomes part of the story itself as a character. He’s great at allowing the author to make jokes about him and reads them out perfectly (talk about being the butt of your own joke, kinda).

Listen to a clip (this is not just a snippet of the audiobook, it is recorded specifically for the sample): HERE
