It started out slow for me. Men talking about diet and exercising and watching their weight? Didn't really make me want to keep reading. But I did and I'm glad I did. The author wove mystery and comedy through the story. And some yummy recipes.

I got this as a free ebook & read it before any others in the series, so I spent the first bunch of pages a little lost amongst all the characters. I ended up enjoying it, though, staying up much later than I should have to finish it. And the sample chapter from the next book had me intrigued. I may read more.

BTW, this is the first book I read on my iPhone, & I'm now hooked on ebooks!

I thought this story was just okay. It was somewhat interesting, and I liked that there were recipes included... But I felt that it was somewhat poorly written.

What a fun series. Having been a dieter myself I can put myself in the shoes of these characters. But they make it so much more fun and interesting.

A cute little cozy mystery I got free for my Kindle. This is the third in a series, but I don't think it matters that I didn't read the previous two. The author brought me up to date fairly easily on the members of the Supper Club and the plot. I've read quite a few cozies and this one was about par for the course. I'd definitely read more of these if they were offered free for Kindle, but I probably won't go out and pay for more in the series. Light and easy, just what the doctor ordered :)

This series always makes me chuckle. This one was my least favorite. I had mixed feelings about some of the topics/situations. It's hard to describe without giving spoilers. It was still enjoyable and an interesting read. I'm curious to see where the next in the series takes me.
