Hager provides a digestible and enjoyable, but informative, history of protest in Aotearoa New Zealand. I immigrated to Aotearoa so much of this history was new to me, particularly some of the finer details and timelines, so I appreciated the detailed overviews of how and when these social movements came to fruition. I’d recommend this book to anyone interested in social change and it’s history in New Zealand- it’s a really easy read :-)
