Enchanted Inc is a good introduction into a new word of magic in New York.

Though some aspects are very stereotypical I can't help but fall in love with this book (and the series).

The characters are delightful, the story not overly complicated and its not jam-packed with alternative histories, characters and species that its difficult to keep track of. This is very much and introductory novel into a great new world and a wonderful read for an afternoon where you don't want anything negative overly bad to happen but simply enjoy being whisked away for a few hours.

Audio-book version:

Falls into the whimsical fantasy category that one shouldn't think too long & hard about; it was good story while I was working on other chores -- easy to listen to, safe to listen around my children when I played it on Alexa.

Katie, immune to magic, intertwines herself with magical community because she can see things they cannot. She crushes on a wizard & saves the day. Her romance journey apparently will continue as the series goes on...I may or may not continue the series -- my 8 year old daughter who listened while we cleaned, feels that we should!

Fun, brainless read. A little predictable. Probably won't continue the series, but it's a fun concept...

I really WANTED to like this, but the heroine just declared, as a self-pep talk, "I didn't have magical powers, an MBA, or a boyfriend, but I did have..." I'm not sure in what world those equate or why a BF is something you work to earn (like an MBA).

The world building is nice; the plot and the way things wonderfully fall into the lap of the ordinary but somehow very special heroine is not.

It's also curiously asexual for a romance (3 girls, one bedroom, 2 boyfriends, and no mention of how any of them get ANY privacy). It feels like one of the hero's main draws is he... blushes?

On the back of this book Melissa de la Cruz says, "A totally captivating, hilarious, clever look on the magical kingdom of Manhattan, where kissing frogs has never been this fun." I wouldn't call this story all that captivating or even really hilarious, but it was clever and it was different. I like the fact that this author's background is romance, but she only touches the surface of romance in this book and just tells you a young girl's story. Pure fantasy.

I might have liked it less some other time, but this month, I enjoyed it fine and look forward to reviewing it at the Care Ctr next week.

I really enjoyed this book! The protagonist was likeable, the plot was interesting, and the writing was well-paced. The author didn't fall into the traps of a lot of chick-lit books I've read, where the protagonist constantly talks about her weight and has an unhealthy obsession with shoes. Katie is a normal girl with an extraordinary job, and I could totally relate to her throughout the entire book. Looking forward to reading more.

I was entertained by how a magical world could have a corporate structure since most books with magic in them take place in a school. The worldbuilding and character profiles are intriguing. The plot and any relationship take forever to build up and by the time anything actually happens you've lost interest. Will not be continuing the series.

I liked this quirky romance-ish book. It was light, uncomplicated and a quick read. It was about as satisfying as a kook aid Popsicle. I would have liked to get to know some of the characters better than we did. I'll read the next book to see if she improves. I liked the concept though.
