Finished this boon at 6:20am in the morning whilst have uni in few hours. This shows how good this book was. How good JOSH CHEN was. Like damn this book made me feel all kind of emotions from starting till the very fucking end. I loved how they showed bridget's marriage and ava's engagement

These books just keep getting better! Enemies to loves, her best friends brother!! The first two books in the series contained so much smut! Don’t get me wrong this has the smut but fewer scenes. this story digs into the challenges Jules faced before her an Josh became ‘friends’

It wasn’t my favourite of the series but it was quite good. The story line was dramatic but still realistic. I did love how much they hated each other. Good character building too. Also love features from characters in previous books in the series.

I stayed up until 2am to listen to this because I just liked it THAT much, however it loses .5 stars because of that one scene towards the end of the book, he shouldn't have behaved like that and I'm trying to delude myself that that has happened. Anyway I want to listen to it again because I'm lowkey obsessed.

3 you're hell, but I never wanna leave stars

Honestly, it's closer to 3.5. Look, Jules and Josh are suuuper hot together. No going around that. This is a smutt-y book. They have their kinks, they exchange insults, they call each other on their shit and somehow...this book was also sweet at points.

Now, I have NOT read the previous books in this series, and despite that, I got the gist. I liked that for once in an enemies-to-lovers book, the were genuinely enemies at the beginning. Not one-sided, not secrelty in love with each other, not just fun banter. They plainly detested each other. And that passion read very well in all its forms.

Their relationship had a very natural feel to it, no "big moments of realization", just starting to know a person and finding out you actually like them, spending time with them and bonding, that kind of thing- you know, in addition to the really hot sex.

So why not rate it higher? Well, a couple reasons.
- The third act break-up. Now, this is gonna sound bad as I describe it here, it's not that bad on page. Basically, Jules lies to Josh but then comes clean on her own, without really needing to other than to be honest with him. Was it bad that she lied? Obviously. Was Josh's "I'm going to be intentionally cruel to you because you hurt me" response appropriate? Nope. I mean, he really leans into the hate. And I'm surprised Jules was able to let that go so easily.
- Josh's issues. All in all, Josh is an interesting hero. He can be super sweet and is also a great dirty talker. But his issues with his dad weren't well-explained. It was also hinted that he might have a slight alcohol issue (?). And of course, he almost beats a man to death.
- The side characters didn't do much. No real insight on the friendships apart from the Josh-Alex dynamic. And again, I haven't read book 1, but Alex wasn't that interesting to me.

All in all, fun book. I would recommend it if you're looking for an exciting, sexy enemies-to-lovers story.
