I first read this book over six years ago, and I reread it at least once a year, yet each time I read it, I am overcome with grief and heartbreak and profound sadness when I reach the fall of Glaedr and Oromis.
This book is incredibly well-written, and will always be included in my favorite books. I’d definitely say it might be one of the best books in the series, though it has been a year since I’ve read Inheritance, so my opinion might change later.
Brisingr has provided the best form of escapism I’ve enjoyed in the past few months, and possibly ever. In a time like this, being able to escape into a new world is very important to me.

Really enjoyed this and I just love how Paolini builds the world. Everything is described so well that its easy to picture exactly what was going on. I enjoyed each and every POV but especially Sapphira's! It did feel a little long but overall enjoyed this a lot.

A lot of character development in this book. Eragon is still so whiny. Saphira cracks me up. I think Roran is great, some parts I liked reading about him more then Eragon. It's a pretty standard fantasy book, even the drawn out descriptions. My biggest gripe with the book is that it had some parts that seemed unnecessarily lengthy even for a wordy fantasy novel.

This was an excellent book. It started off a little slow but once the action began it was much better. There are new revelations to be had in this book and it is a must read.

Much better than Eldest. Still too wordy/too much exposition, but a better continuation. I’m enjoying Eragon and Roran’s character development and the interesting side plots (Elva, dwarf politics, etc) and such.
Though I will say…all that hullabaloo about Oromis and Glaedr coming out of hiding and then A, killing them off and B, having their death scene be boring just seems like a cop out.

rooting for the anti-hero is a full time job and i never called in sick!! also, for a book that is almost 800 pages, and for a third reread, i am still surprised by how easy it is to go through this story <3 childhood favourite indeed, for no small reasons <3
also, this volume has a lot of my favourite scenes in the series and it's just.... such a comforting feeling to just return to these moments so deeply ingrained into who i am as a reader.
