Dog loves to read. He loves it so much, he opens a bookstore. He wants to share books, but no one comes to the grand opening. What does a dog do? He reads!

Reading takes away the boredom of waiting and waiting and waiting. Reading can fill the void between customers. Reading can take you on adventures!

Simply delightful book by Yates that shares the joy and love of reading and sharing reading with others.

Reviewed from a library copy.

Not perhaps the most business-savvy of canines, the dog in Dog Loves Books opens a bookstore... and winds up depressed at the lack of customers, but pleased with the ability to read books and loose himself in them. I'm not sure what this says about using books as a means of distraction from less than ideal situations, but at least we get the message that it's good to share good books with others, right? Still, it's cute and kids that like books and dogs will very likely enjoy this one. My advice would be to let them daydream about opening a bookstore and having endless time to read books... after all, we all likely had that same fantasy as kids and why shouldn't they get to have their time to indulge that dream, too?

Cute and simple. Not much of a story in and of itself, but the art is likeable. Good shape and use of color. Would recommend.

Dog loves books - Dog loves drawing - Dog loves counting - Dog loves fairy tales by Yates_ Louise
4 stories about a white puppy. Because he loves book so much he opens his own book store.
Next book is about the white puppy who gets a blank book-a book for drawing. His sketches comes to live.
Next is about counting sheep, and he finds numbers in everything he does...
Next his life is in a fairy tale...
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Cute but the plot goes one way and then a different way, like the writer could not decide what they wanted the book to be about or something. Would have been an easy enough fix in such a short book.

oops, I read it twice cuz I didn't mark it off or review it last time. still just 3 stars, cute but no story.

Dog loves books so much that one day he decides to open his own bookstore. When he doesn't have any customers, dog passes the time by reading books and soon he doesn't feel so alone anymore. A wonderful testament to the power of books to enrich our lives.
