I should have listened to my gut. I did not care for this book. It was 100 pages too long with about 10 too many useless characters. I knew the "whodunit" about 50 pages in. A shame, because it had fun elements.....yarn, textiles, fiber, the blue ridge mountains, etc. Oh well, I struggled through it but won't pick up the next one.

It was fine? It was pretty obvious what certain characters were doing. I’ll probably read the second book to see if her pacing gets better.

Kath is heading to Blue Plum, Tennessee, to attend the funeral of her grandmother. After the funeral Kath is distressed to learn that Granny sold her house and rumours around town are that her grandmother, who the locals call "Crazy Ivy" killed someone. Kath tries to unravel the mystery with the help of the TGIF "Thank Goodness It's Fiber" group.

I've been discovering lots of fantastic new-to-me cozy mystery series this year, and it makes it a little hard with each of them being so good. Each month I keep finding new ones that are "Oh-My-God-This-Is-Fantastic"! Last Wool and Testament is the latest that I'm adding to the list.

Early on I thought I had the mystery solved, but with many twists and turns and multiple dead bodies, it turns out I had it all wrong! Molly MacRae certainly kept me on my toes, and along with the "interesting" locals I absolutely loved this mystery.

I really liked the TGIF group, especially the inclusion of Joe, a male knitter. This is the first time I've seen a male knitter in a story and I loved it! Along with Joe, there were plenty of quirky characters in Blue Plum and I absolutely can't wait to take another visit with the release of Dying Wishes, in July.

I listened to Last Wool and Testament as an audio, and I must say I'm really enjoying seeing more cozy mysteries on audio. Emily Durante did a fantastic job voicing all the characters and I'm glad to see that she is also doing the narration on the second book in the series.

If you like your knitting mysteries, please check out Last Wool and Testament. It will warm up your knitting soul and keep you on the edge of your seat with a fantastic mystery.

I liked the voice of the author, cute book! Going to read the others in the series. Let’s me live vicariously through the main character (owning a yarn shop, solving mysteries, etc). An intersection of my current interests!

This reader of the audiobook was awful. The book was simple and fast. predictable as well.
