It's pretty hard to keep up with what's going on in the book but I do love it anyways

This book picked up immediately where the previous left off, which was good because there was quite a cliffhanger. The entire book was centered around the threat that Richard and his people were facing. There was a lot of turmoil in this book and at the end they started taking actions to resolve it. It left us with another cliffhanger, of course, but I really enjoyed it!

Excellent book in a good series. It's nice to see them go into a different direction instead of fighting the same war they have fought throughout 16+ books. A new challenge was exactly what was needed to breathe new life into the series.

I love these books because they span basically one whole day and are a quick read but are so good. My heart broke when Kahlan realized she couldn’t go to the one place that would be safe for her to give birth. Can’t wait to read the next one.

Goodkind has returned with his usual writing and fast paced death and drama. This book is plot development for the overall storyline with twists and turns. It was more direct than his typical novels because it is a short novella. There is a lot of unexpected action that ends with a cliffhanger. On to the next book as Richard and Kahlan fight to save the world and their unborn children from world annihilation.

Comme pour le précédent, je trouve que tout est trop rapide et que le livre est trop "petit".

I love this return to D'Hara, but I want to read the whole set before I review them. I have been pondering how I like this story in novella installments.

I loved this book and was happy to meet again characters from books I read long ago.
The style of writing, the world building, and the character development are as amazing as usual.
It was an engrossing and entertaining read.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Edelweiss for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
