Levine was annoying, but I LOVED Sarah Harding. What an inspirational girl boss. 

There were a few inconsistencies from the first book, but overall it was good.

I just reread this and while I still enjoyed it, I think I liked it more when I was a kid. Sarah, Kelly, and Arby stand out so much in my memory as being THE BEST from when I read this at, like, 14 years old. This reread I found it a bit slower, and my memories of the dinosaur bits were a much bigger part of the book than they actually take up. Still, I really like the dinosaurs and the disasters, and Dodgson's arc had such a satisfying ending. Will continue to read every few years, probably.

After being surprised by how good Jurassic Park was even after knowing the plot from the movie, I decided to give the sequel a try. Overall, I was much less impressed with this book. It felt too much like it was just trying to recreate Jurassic Park. This trip to a dinosaur island is focusing on the extinction event and what wiped out the dinosaurs. Unfortunately it does the same slow build to revealing that the book is in fact about dinosaurs.
