The story had so much potential, but it is a bit Juvenile. The writing, well it felt like fan fic at times. I wanted more.

I disliked the "fated mates" situation that arose, while I love fated mates as a whole this was more like ...I will give you time.... but I will keep pressuring you... and you will not have all the details!! Make a choice... TF?!

Haskell? I loved him and thought he is going to be the humor throughout but his character was not consistent, it was like the author forgot how she last described him or how he acted.

While the premise is intriguing, the editing is a definite detractor in this book. There are so many typos, changes in POV, mixed tenses, punctuation and grammar errors as well as time-line issues that I was very tempted not to finish the book. I know I will never pick up another one by this author unless they can prove they’ve passed it through an good editor. Plus the dialogue sounds more like a kid than a 30-year-old lawyer. Other issues: at one point, the house and attacker are described vividly, but not Haskell and he’s kind of important. There are so many other questions and issues that I honestly cannot recommend this book at all – not until it is vetted by a decent editor who understands all of the above.

I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… My Opinions. Enchanting

As a fan of urban fantasy I really enjoyed this book. A couple of little things in the editing of the book annoyed me which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Possible spoiler here: our hero starts out as a Lyft driver and then is sudden!y an Uber driver. And, in one scene he starts out wearing a black button down shirt which morphs into a t-shirt.

The story itself kept my interest and our heroine is definitely relatable . The whole "fate's soul mates" thing is old for me but this is a world that I don't belong to so what do I know. Maybe it really is a thing?
