Waiting means working on patience. It's not always easy and not everyone wants to wait. Sometimes it's totally worth the wait! If you enjoyed Please, Mr. Panda, you'll enjoy his second story about manners.

When the book fair came to my sons school. I let him pick out any one book and I’ll Wait, Mr. Panda was his pick. He loves this Panda book. We read it several times a week, which is great. That’s what you want when you get a book. One you will enjoy over and over again.

I like this Panda book; because it’s all about teaching patience and politeness. The Panda expects patience, but is often disappointed; yet in the end he is generous to the patient penguin. The Panda does seem gruff, but I still feel this is a nice story to read to young kids (preschool/kindergartners) and the illustrations are cute.

In this sequel to Please, Mr. Panda, a bunch of animals stop by to ask what he is making and Mr. Panda tells them to wait and see. Everyone except the penguin is too impatient to wait and so the penguin gets a big surprise at the end.

I love Mr. Panda's stoic smirk. He's one of my favorite picture book characters.

A very cute and simply told story that demonstrates that patience can pay off.

Mr. Panda is making something to eat and he repeatedly tells visiting characters to wait--they aren't very happy about that. I love that the penguin is the one who will wait, and that they are wonderfully rewarded. The Mr. Panda books are very effective at teaching these kinds of lessons in a funny way, especially with Mr. Panda looking so surly. Very cute.

For: readers who love pandas or penguins; readers needing a book about the benefits of patience.

Possible red flags: rude characters.

I'll Wait, Mr. Panda by Steve Antony is precious! My favorite story of the day shows many animals asking Mr. Panda what he is baking with his repeated response to wait and see, but each animal is impatient and leaves. Each time this happens, the little penguin stands by and says, "I'll wait, Mr. Panda." and is rewarded for his patience. LOVED IT!

Me. Panda continues his search for animals with manners. It's a long wait.

Good things come to those who wait in this cute picturebook. Panda is making an awesome surprising gift for his friends. All of his friends are anxious to see what the surprise is, but they are too impatient to wait for the surprise to be revealed. One tenacious little friend announces his intention to be patient and waits to find out what the surprise is. Great story to start a conversation about patience and why it's important.
