This is a slim book of poetry that holds quite a lot of emotion and imagery to reflect on. The poems bring in multiple generations of the author’s family and life in different parts of the world; they juxtapose the vivid realities of cutting into flesh and digging into earth with the strange ephemeral interactions with ghosts. This collection was easy to read in just a couple of evenings, and I immediately revisited poems from earlier in the books.

Not a poetry person, but this was pretty good and it was really cool seeing relatable experiences from my childhood in it!
