The writing style was lovely and I know so much research must have been done to write this novel, but I just couldn’t get on board with the main character. She is simply selfish and doesn’t seem to comprehend that she is making a muck out of everyone’s lives.

Cute story, but it stressed me out too much to enjoy it consistently.

This was neither a bad book or a great book. I will likely never read it again. It was a cute story idea and I think so the most part it was done well.

I was really disappointed with this one. I couldn’t connect with the characters and I didn’t like the plot. Everything was so slow and then it was so rushed towards the end. Giving this 3⭐️ just because I like how everyone got their HEAs!

It’s good just I feel like her being found out happened way too close to the end, we didn’t see any real fallout to Birdy’s actions. Although we are told months pass before anyone from Loch Dorn reaches out, it happens mere pages later. Same with Heather forgiving her. It didn’t feel like Birdy faced any real consequences for her actions bc we breezed by them

For half of the book I disliked the main character until she developed more into someone less selfish and careless. The plot was good and held me even if I never learned to love the main character. What I did love was the way the author wrote about Scotland. I felt like I was there. This is a good rom-com with no spicy romance scenes. The best scenes are of the local area of Scotland.
