This was another enjoyable Kurt Austin adventure. In this book he's after bad guys who are genetically altering fish into huge monsters that will destroy the ocean's "normal" fish supply, so they can control the fishing industry and gain substantial power over the world. In a way the concept is very far-fetched, but in another way, it is sadly possible that it could happen. Fast-paced, but predictable ending, this is a good book. I give it a B-.

Kurt Austin and Joe Zavala are called into to help with the rescue of the crew from a Danish warship sunk during an environmental protest in the Faroe Islands. This peaks Kurt's curiosity and he looks into why it sunk and finds that thinks are not necessarily as they appear. This is confirmed when he visits a fish farm in Faroe Islands and has a near death experience. This is just the start of the team working to find out what the company that owns the fish farm is up to.

There's lots of action in this but the story just doesn't hold up. The lack of anyone willing to inform the police about what is happening is mystery. It's as if they are the only people who are capable of doing anything. The ending was a bit predictable.

Another awesome one. It is like trash reading for mysteries/adventure. The story was a good one (scary idea) and, as always, well-written... if not a little predictable. After all, Kurt can't die

Definitely NOT vintage Clive Cussler!

A formulaic thriller that includes everything but the kitchen sink - unrepentant Nazis, Basque separatists, an outcast murderous tribe of Eskimos, Canadian natives in northern Quebec, environmental activists and the usual female sex interest. This one goes beyond the pale and actually seems comedic at best. The heroes can thank their lucky stars that the dastardly villains resort to that time-worn cliche of gloating instead of getting on with killing them when they've got the chance!

This one's definitely a laffer! Give it a pass and save your pennies for the next one.

Buona ripresa della serie. AndrĂ² avanti. Sempre libri da leggere con il giusto spirito (letture leggere).

This is the second time I read this book. Somehow I had forgotten to make it as read on Goodreads. Oops!

:-D

It is still a fun read in the Typical CLive Cussler mode of story telling.
