Very interesting. A good middle grade, high school book. It's fast paced and interesting and leaves you always turning the page to find out what happens next.

It just moved really slow. This one definitely doesn’t hold up for adults like other YA’s do, I feel like a 5th grader would enjoy it more. I remember enjoying it when I was that age.

Typical MPH book. I would’ve eaten this up in middle school when I was obsessed with her books. As an adult, I thought it was a good story but unfortunately I figured out the secret in the beginning. I also felt that the end was rushed. I still enjoyed the story. It’s a wholesome quick read that I’d read again.

When I started the book, I was intrigued, and as I kept reading I was more intrigued. Then I got to the ending and I got so disappointed.

This book takes some interesting turns long after you think you have it all figured out. Margaret Peterson Haddix has written another great page turner for readers everywhere.

My copy of this book is from junior high school, and I know I read it back then… but I didn’t remember what happened in it at all, so I decided to revisit it as an adult!
The storyline is similar to The Adoration of Jenna Fox, which I also read in junior high school, but this book was written a year before that one was released. Wooo! This was a quick read, and while it was intriguing, the ending fell a little flat and was a bit anticlimactic for me. Some parts also dragged on a bit… But either way, I wasn’t too mad about it because I felt engaged for the most part. I do have more of Margaret Peterson Haddix’s books on my shelves, so I can’t wait to tackle those!
