Life is full of unexpected moments popping up in your ordinary day.

A quarter on the sidewalk
A beautiful girl in your class
Your best friend making you smile after a particularly douchey comment

But not moments are weighed equally and they can run out...

Tommy Boy is a quick hit prequel but be careful- it hits hard. Sweet romance with some naughty escapades and an unexpected twist.

What the hell did I just read!? Maybe I would like this if I had read Panty Whisperer but just wow. How depressing. It was so funny and light hearted and I loved all the geekiness. And it just went to awful and sad and just no.

5 Tommy Boy Stars - ARC

I can’t say enough good things about Tommy. If you read The Panty Whisperer series then YOU KNOW, you want to read about Tommy. If you haven’t and you’re picking up this book for the first time and just getting to know the boys you’re going to fall in love. And laugh your butt off because they are zany.

I loved Tommy before but I am head over heels for him now. Not only is he funny and nerdy but the man has the skills. *wink* *wink*

“Some people say spooning is lame. I say it’s the best thing ever if your arm is around the right girl.” – Tommy

We still get the feel of Joel and Tommy together just like we did in The Panty Whisperer. But Tommy gets the girl this time. I have to say I was shocked by what I read and I want more, no I need more. The feels.. My heart is not complete…yet..

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Tommy Blackwell is coasting through college, doing the bare minimum in his coding classes to keep his family happy. He doesn't need a girlfriend, he's perfectly happy being Joel's best friend and watching him pick up girl after girl each evening. Crystal Castles Clark changes that though, the nerdy girl who speaks in Star Wars and love programming. She too isn't searching for a relationship, but she finds one in Tommy. They're made for each other, their interests in all things nerdy and the off the charts chemistry between them have them both falling fast. They embrace their feelings, but life has a way of getting in the way of things.

"She'd make a perfect Padme to my Annakin for Halloween."

Sloane Howell, you're not supposed to get me with the feelings! I love Tommy, I have wanted a book about him since I first read The Panty Whisperer. He's my kind of guy, attractive and 112% nerdy. He's made even better by his nervous habits and his sweet demeanor. Plus, he's hilarious. Tommy's dialogue is laugh out loud funny and really accurate to how men are at that age in college. Revisiting his friendship with Joel was a treat; I liked glimpsing at their younger years and seeing how their friendship was such a strong bond, made stronger by situations they went through. Tommy's relationship with CC is lightning speed fast, but the force pushed them together and they both embraced it. They are a sweet couple, the kind of relationship Tommy absolutely deserved, and they were totally smutty too. I wasn't expecting what happened though and it absolutely gutted me.

"'Why do you like me so much?'
'Because you can write code and let me hum Star Wars songs on your pussy.'"

Filled to the brim with pop culture references, Tommy Boy is a can't be missed nerd-smut novella. It's a quick read, laugh out loud funny, and has real depth to it. You'll find yourself loving Tommy, though I don't really want to share him if I can help it!

Speak nerdy to me. There is nothing sexier than a nerdy alpha. I’m sorry, they are my jam. Set before Panty Whisperer, Tommy Boy gives us a glimpse into the love life of Joel’s best friend Tommy. We go back in time to the 90s and their college years. And I freaking loved the pop culture references! Having grown up in the 90s, it brought back a lot of memories. Oh sweet memories.

Tommy’s a certified nerd, geeky t-shirts and all. He’s sweet, slightly awkward and a little insecure. But he doesn’t hold back in the bedroom, turning into an alpha between the sheets. Crystal’s the Princess to his Mario. Also a nerd, she’s spunky and has eyes only for him. They are a perfect match.

For being a novella, this book packed on hell of a wallop. There were some twists and turns I wasn’t expecting at all. It definitely had Howell’s trademark humor and hot sex scenes, but I wasn’t expecting to tear up. Damn the man. There are so many feels in this short and quick read. I cannot wait to see more of Tommy. This is a book that must be experienced by all

Joel who? I am all about the Tommy Boy now!

This prequel to the Panty Whisperer series was a fun, sexy, steamy quick read, and it has left me wanting to read the PW series again.

Set back in the early 90's, Tommy and CC's story left me feeling with its pop culture references!

I adored Tommy and CC, and for such a quick read, Tommy Boy sure does pack a punch! It took some twists and turns that I definitely did not see coming!

Can't wait to see what Mr Howell brings us next.

Tommy was one of my favorite characters from The Panty Whisperer and I really enjoyed this closer look at him and his past.

I originally found this book when I was searching my Twitter feed. Sloane has a giveaway up for it in fact. (this is as of posting) I’m glad I chose this to be the first book I read of Sloane’s! I was caught quickly by the humor and the connection that Tommy has not only with his bff Joel, but with CC, the girl of his dreams. Tommy sees CC at a bar when he and Joel have a guys night out. Joel being the “panty whisperer” decides to try his magic on CC. She isn’t having it though! He fails to get far with her and goes about his business. Tommy is drawn to her though, the way she carries herself, the look in her eye and oh yeah, the t-shirts she wears!

Soon Tommy runs into her at the campus coffee shop and their connection begins. They both have this crazy sense of humor that sets off the sparks of attraction even higher! When the person you enjoy spending time with shares your passion of computer techy stuff, nerdish type movies and can make you laugh with the simplest of movie quotes at the most inappropriate times, you better hold them close.

Life runs smoothly for them both and their love blossoms. Just when things get to a pivotal point, Tommy’s world spins out of control. Everything he’s felt, everything he’s wanted to say is swept away. How do you move on from someone and something so solid? He has to try, but the question is, can he?

Loved (positive): I hands down LOVED the humor!!! I was cracking up so much. I love romance, erotica and you throw in the humor, you’ve got me. I appreciated the “realness” of the characters that Sloane has creatively shared with us. There is also the right amount of emotion that makes you both praise and cure Sloane.

Not sure (negative): I would have liked a bit more to their story, but then again it’s a prequel for a reason!

Overall: I think it’s a really strong beginning to a series that I have a feeling is going to be full of steam, romance, humor, intrigue and dare I say, a bit emotional? I really enjoyed it a lot. It’s a quick read that will have you all over the place. I’ll definitely be checking out more of Sloane's work!

My star rating: 5 out of 5 stars!
